I get really bad hangovers when i mix my drinks like starting on lager then going on vodka. My hangovers can last a day or two even when i stay on the same drink i only go out at weekend and i think that is why i get them and its not every weekend. If i drink say friday and saturday night by sunday ive got a hangover from hell but if i just have a drink on friday and not saturday im fine on sunday if you get me. It also depends on the amout. Before you go to bed make sure you drink a pint or two of water .Here a website if you want to stop drinking,Good Luck

It's a fact mate, that the older you get, the worse the hangover. I agree, it's time you cut down on the booze, 4 pints of snakebite is pretty tough going, strong stuff. Fortunately I have never been a big drinker, but even 2 pints of beer leaves me feeling pretty crook the next day. It didn't used to bother me .

Yeah, hangovers seem to get worse the older you get. Maybe it is a reduction in the body's ability to deal with alcohol. The body can cope with alot of punishment and the liver can regenerate. I'm not sure that it can cope with snakebite though, thats an evil drink. Just try to drink water when you get in and during the next day to help give your body a helping hand.

I always have! And im 18! It's not just an age thing, i really can't take a lot of any kind of drink without vomiting and feeling extremely ill the next day, the only way to prevent it i think is to just stop drinking before you reach the point of no return!

Here's my tried and tested hang over prevention: Before you go to bed, take 2 paracetamol, a litre of water and, here's the piece de resistence, a high strength vitamin c tablet. I haven't had a hangover in about 6 years due to this. Give it a try and tell me how you get on.

Hangover symptoms are a form of "short term abstinence syndrome" or withdrawals. Also after you have been drinking for a significant amount of time, your liver loses some of its ability to metabolise the alcohol.
Time to dry out, mate!
Seek the assistance of AA, your GP or a counsellor.
Good luck

It is time to cut back on the drinking. Meanwhile drink lots of water. Really a lot of water. Also try some milk.

My best mate told me to drink ginger ale, it is really good for settling your stomach and making you feel better, but don't get the cheap stuff, that only has flavouring in it, get Schweppes it has extract of ginger in it.
But listen to your body and cut down on the alcohol in future.

I agree totally and its possible you may need some help. Go and talk to your GP about this and ask if he could do some liver function tests too. Good luck and I hope this works out for you - I really do.
