Approach her bank and tell them you wish to pay off your mothers debt .
They should assist you from there .

The only other way is to find one of the HELOC notices she gets , take that in and pay it off .

Nice thought. You can't. A home equity loan is an open line of credit and has to be closed by the loan holder; and only them when it is paid off as payoff doesn't work quite the same as a standard mortgage.

just transfer the necessary money into her checking account and let you write a check for the balance - and don't let anyone tell you that you can not deposit money into someone else account!!!

Go to the bank and talk to the manager or one of the office people. Explain it to them and ask for the procedure. They should be able to answer all your questions.

do you have access to her accts ??? all you have to do is deposit a check for the loan amt to the loan...usually can be done at an ATM.
Or if you have access on the www...do it by transfer. (you transfer from your acct to hers, but you have to have all her PIN#'s to do all this.)
