ummm what additions have the cavs made this season?

they're just bringing back the same ol injured team with the same Lebron with the shaky jumper (you saw how the spurs picked him apart in the finals, teams are gonna exploit that from now on). Plus Pavlovic and Varejao are still unsigned...those guys want more money now, Cleveland can't afford to sign them up for big money unless those two take a paycut and stay here.

lets see who else on the east has improved

Boston...with the additioin of KG and Ray Allen

New York...with the addition of Zach Randolph

Washington is gonna give you a run since they picked up an excellent perimeter defender in Nick Young

Orlando got Rashard Lewis

Charlotte got Jason Richardson and they have a very deep bench with Jared Dudley, Morrison, Sean May and Carroll

i would be surprised if the cavs are top 3 in the east

EDIT

do you seriously think the Cavs would've made it past the first round last year????

Gilbert arenas and caron butler were injured...Cavs struggled mightily and were at the mercy of the refs to bail em out during that series

If Ira Newble is coming off the bench, this club isn't winning anything. No bench and a slooowww center is not a formula to build upon the success of last season. I like Chicago in the division and Miami to have enough fuel in the tank for one more championship appearance.

But the West still has a half dozen teams that will beat the best of the East in four or five games. The MVP will probably come from the West club with the best record.

Lebron main worry isn't Boston or Detroit; it's Miami with D-Wade. Dwayne is clutch winning two from behind series victories to a championship. Lebron hasn't shown that except for a few games.

So with D-Wade healthy and the Heat has added more veteran help, Miami looks pretty good this year. What has the Cavaliers done? Lebron needs a sidekick, is Daniel Gibson good enough?

If Lebron doesn't get a sidekick who could sink shot when open like Pippen does for Jordan, Lebron will have a tough time this year because Miami got better, Chicago got better, Boston got loads better, Atlanta got better, Orlando got better, and Cleveland has done nothing!

MVP? Maybe. It's been a while since Eastern Conference had a regular season MVP. But at this point with Miami better, I bet it on D-Wade if the award is going to the Eastern Conference.

Whoever has the best record gets the home court advantage. Look at the first round when Houston hosted the Jazz even though Houston was the 5 and Utah the 4, and when Chicago hosted the Heat, even though Chicago was the 5 and Miami the 4.

Still need to go thru Detroit, a Healthy Miami, or Boston.
It will be hard for them to get back with the players they
have. I think LeBron Carried them, but he may be
burnt out since he played USA Basketball.
But hope Either Cavs or Heat make it to the Finals.

Uhhh... No they're not.

This Hughes thing hasn't worked out imo. And his back-up Snow is 60 years old! Snow maybe good defensively, but Lebron needs some offensive help. The older Big Z gets, the slower he gets. Damon Jones can't play under pressure.

And what have they done to help during the offseason????

NOPE

This year, the celtics are going to crush the east, now you might say this is like the new Dallas of last year, but your wrong. KG + RA are expeirenced, mixing with PP is good. Now i didn't think they would go far, because they had no bench, but finally they picked up some people like james posey who are good bench players.

the lebron james thing is kinda similar to the laker situation wit kobe or lebron carry the team. actually, its worse, kobe almost never struggles but lebron did it every game in the finals. i think theyll be in the 6th place and gettin knock off by boston.
