I have had this discussion with many people , it is - Do you believe if there was a depression in America that made the Middle Class and most of the working class lose there jobs - there kids would work to support there family ?

I ask because I honestly don't know , its hard to say based on alot of kids priority's being video games and such .

we are in the midst of a generation where its almost impossible for many children to eclipse their parent's success ... the problem is these same parents arent nearly successful enough for these kids to be considered 'trust fund babies'

I see serious problems as many of these kids grow up


as for your question, I would answer about the power of human resolve ... kids will not stop being aloof and playing video games until they need to, but put into a crisis situation, I think most kids would step up and do what they needed to do to help their families ... just a core belief

Sure.

Kids today can live a life of relative ease because of our economic situation. Turn that around and they'll learn to do whatever it takes to survive.

No, but not for lack of trying - there simply aren't many jobs for 'kids' these days.
