You need to do exactly what they say. If it says go a full turn after one of the numbers before stopping at the next number do not try to take a short cut along the way and stop when you hit the number - they want you to go past it for the full turn and then stop at the next number.

That is the most usual reason why people with the numbers and the instructions can not open their locks.

There are about 1000 different designs for combination locks, but here's how the most common ones work...

Turn the dial clockwise 2-3 times to re-set the lock.

While still going clockwise, stop on the first number of the combination. Now go COUNTER clockwise to the second number. Pass it, and keep going counter clockwise until you get to it again. When you get to it, switch directions to clockwise, and go to the last number and stop. Pull the lock.

Walla - you're done!

uncle al is possibly rather close. despite the fact that if, i dislike that all of the solutions above him have down arrows. despite the fact that in the event that they are incorrect. - using customary shape of a mix lock, you won't be able to have a mix of three-3-3. you may bypass 3-6 numbers using inner pin association. - as nicely, if the "3" is precise, much less high priced locks will additionally often enable 2 or 4 get with the aid of. that could make the possible style of mixtures some thing like: thirteen*eleven*eleven = 1500 or thirteen*12**12 = 1800
