I am interested in visiting Tahoe, mainly for snowboarding, and a side visit of casino's at night. What are the best ski-resorts and how far away are they from MAJOR casinos? (i don't want to go to a slow-run-down mom-and-pop casino where everyone knows each other's first middle and last name)

Heavenly Valley is one of the largest ski resorts in the country and it's right at South Shore very close to the casinos. Ther is Harrah's, Caesar's, Harvey's and a couple others. They are all large, well-known casinos wiht all the amenities like buffets and restaurants, live entertainment, great bars, loads of machines and other casino gaming as well as friendly people.
