You went fishing and caught a divers eye on the hook. Just kidding. It means somebody is impressed by what you have done.
Example
John Doe is an agent for the University of Southern California's Baseball Team. He saw you playing baseball and thinks that you would be good enough for the Universities Baseball Team. You caught his eye.
