when l did it l called them and talked to someone and decided to sponsor a child. Mine was in Brazil, when he got to old l then sponsored his sister.

I've never sponsored a child and never will. I don't trust any of them. They're either liars or bad charity organizations. Liars by not actually giving your money to your 'child,' or by setting up a program that distributes the charity money only to the children who have made it to the front of the 'charity' line to receive the donations.

I've always wanted to because the commercials are so sad looking, but I don't know if the money really gets to the kids. They could be not being truthful.
