Sorry, but I have a problem with the names Clayton, Ethan, Ian, and Todd. Every single person with these names are either really mean or have mental problems.

I think that it is an ok name, but definately an older country name. If it is a family name and you feel obligated to use it I would try shortening it to just Clay. Clay is a wonderful strong male name and is up to date so hopefully he can take it school with him without getting made fun of by any nasty kids. Hope I could be of some help!
