Never wax!!! waxing not only hurts but it damages your eyebrows. Plucking is another thing you should never do.. i honestly think you should thread your eyebrows. It pinches your skin but its the best way. And hey no pain no gain right?? However after you ve done it a few times it doesnt hurt as much.

My recommendation:

#1 = plucking
It is the most precise method.

#2 = threading
More precise than waxing & no risk of getting burned or having some skin taken off. It hurts as much as plucking.

Both plucking & threading can be made less painful by a skilled esthetician.

#3 = waxing
Only let someone you trust wax your brows. A bad esthetician can burn you w/ the hot wax, re-wax the same area which takes off too much skin or wax off too many hairs. Plus, wax leaves a residue.

BTW, anyone using Retin-A or similar treatments should avoid waxing. Such treatments thin the skin & waxing can tear the skin.

plucking is time consuming and you have to deal with more pain....on the other hand waxing is all at once (however many times it takes) and the more you wax the less painful it seems. Threading....if you get it done by a person who knows what they are doing can do it fast and painless....or very little pain and like the chick before said like a prickly tickle...good luck have fun!!

i tried plucking, threading, and waxing.

plucking is my personal worst idea, its takes a long time to be plucking then one by one or 2 by 2 and its justt pain in the butt.

threading hurts when you have alot of hair. but might not hurt so muchh if its only a little hair, but also it takes time and is also a pain in the but.

now i wax my eyebrows. theyy just put on the wax and a little cloth on it. it hurts when they pull it out but its worth it because its justt one small pain instead if it taking so long.

so definitely use WAX i strongly reccomend it :)

if you get hair waxed/plucked from the roots yes it pinches alot and your skin turns red for a while.
other methods dont hurt but it is recommended to go for threading or waxing... get it done from professional saloon or someone who is an expert at doing it, u dont want to take any chances.

Plucking, I don't reccomend because you end up getting those little in grown hair and they end up like pimples. Threading is similar to plucking but its cleaner and quicker. Waxing is ok. Shaving is good too.

i have never got mine threaded but is sounds painful... i heard that waxing hurts but is worth it in the end.. but only if you get it done proffessionally.... I pluck personally and it works for me.. but i think i look better with fuller brows...

It probably hurts less than plucking and threading.
