Musically, a very close battle. But I'm with you, if it's a fistfight, the Who will pound the flower power out of Zeppelin, the Stones or the Beatles.
Now the The Who vs The Kinks- that would be a scrap!

It would be close. John Bonham might have have a good go on Keith Moon...play Moby Dick on his head. Townsend would whip Page who is smaller. Daltey and Plant ....hmmmm...Daltrey swings that Mike stand so he might take him. John Entwhitsle against John Paul Jones....I think they would just sit there and play key boards and watch.

Jimmy Page was a very peaceful dude. His touring manager however... it goes without saying. Nobody messed with Zeppelin in their days. Or even still. What Zeppelin said, happened.

Robert Plant strikes me more as a lover than a fighter.
But I think if he got a good head whip going, he could have taken someone out with that hair and those hips.
