Baldwin Park is a very nice fairly new neighborhood. The homes are beautifull and its located just minutes from Downtown and right next door to the Orlando Fashion Square Mall filled with shopping, dining, and enterntainment. Here is a link to their website:

Orange County and Seminole County Public Schools are fine. Florida rates them A, B, C, D, F based on testing scores.
But there are trouble spots with schools in poorer neighborhoods getting bad grades year over year. There are also several new schools that open each year and those don't yet have a track record.
I Would aim for a neighborhood in Central or East Winter Park. That will put you in the Winter Park High School District, which is consistently the top rated High School in Orange. But it is expensive there and there are no new homes.
Also look at Oviedo in Seminole County

Orlando is a HORRIBLE area to live in and our schools are a joke! If you need to be close to Orlando I would move at LEAST 45 mintues outside the city limits.

Waterford Lakes/Eastwood is one of the best places to live along with the school district, the schools are really good, they have elementary, kindergarten, high school, and middle school all in one area. They have really good schools and it's a really good place to live.
