it's strange beacuse it occured after i cleaned the screen but i always clean my screen with a damp paper towel and nothing seemed to go wrong before.
and when i turn it on it flickers for a few seconds and makes a sizzling noise then the back light jus goes out.
if you could help me out i'd be very grateful.
btw i'm on my mom's computer right now.

You might have short circuited it if water got down underneath the screen. In that case, you will need to either remove the screen parts for yourself and attempt at finding the problem, otherwise send it in, or buy a replacement.

I suspect that the paper towel (never clean your screen with a paper towel - it scratches it) was too wet and water ran down the screen onto the inverter card that powers the backlight.
If you are incredibly lucky, you can leave it off for a day or two to let it dry out and see if it works then.
I suspect that you will need to send it in for repair to get the inverter card replaced.
