I love Van as a nickname for something like Sullivan or Vance, but not so much on it's own (just brings to mind, well, a van). ;)
And Lorelei is positively lovely, but misspelling it moves it to the hate category. Definitely less German mythological beauty and more "I watch too much Gilmore Girls" when not used properly, know what I mean?
The only other one I even remotely like is Ashton, which would be nice if not for the trendy celeb factor. Asher might also appeal.
Top-ten, trendy Madison -- since your daughter couldn't possibly be anyone's son -- and misspelled, but still top-ten, Britney (though this time from 1986-1995, so you missed the boat by a decade or two LOL) I definitely hate. And Summer is best reserved for the season, feminine hygiene products (Summer's Eve, anyone?

1. Britney- my name is Brittney Lyn and I LOVE MY NAME! =]
2. Lorelai- i love this name because of gilmore girls! =D
3. Van- this is my favorite boy name! what a cute little boy!
4. Ashton- ashton kutcher? aw! i love that name!!
5. Summer- sooo cute!
6. Madison- i don't really like this name because of it's popularity!

Van (boy): I trhink it's an unusual name and I like it.
Ashton (boy): The first though that comes to mind is Ashton Kutcher in his annoying trucker hat! I like the name, but it only reminds me of the actor.
Madison (girl): This name has become really trendy, but I still think it's beautiful.
Summer (girl): I don't like this name at all. Sorry.
Lorelai (girl): I think this name is super cute. I think it may be mispronounced by other children while growing up, but it's definitely cute.
Britney (girl): Waaay too much drama and tabloids connected with this name! Don't do it.
Remember that the name you choose will last FOREVER, so make sure you consider names that can be used in professional settings as an adult. Can you imagine Senator Ashton or President Summer? Just think of other jobs where names will be important and try to base your decision off of that. Good luck! :)

Van...I'm on the fence about that one (don't know why).
Ashton...I like it, nice name.
Madison...Pretty name, I like it.
Summer...Classic.
Lorelai...I don't like it, just my personal taste.
Britney...Seeing it spelled that way, I automatically think of Britney Spears (to some people that's a good thing, to others...not so much).
