These girls I used to talk to always call me a prep when I'm like walking down the hall or something and like I don't know it just never really got to me until now. Most of my shirts are polos except for like fourth. I cheerlead and I play volleyball. I don't know why they think I'm a prep.

Sorry hillary but if you cheer you are automatically a prep. It just comes with the teritory. It isn't a bad thing. Those people who are calling you that are probually just jealous of you!

Well if they're into the whole labeling thing than yes, I can see how they would call you a prep.
I am a cheerleader, I love wearing polos, and I also like Abercrombie and Aeropostale. So I am probably a prep too lol.

Labeling is just a way to make people feel like they instantly know who and what everyone is. Truth is, though you do have some prep-like qualities, I'm sure you have some interests that make you not a prep. Don't listen to other people, okay? Everyone labels because it makes them feel cool and they're never accurate. Like, people call me prep because of the clothes I wear, but I don't really care because I know who I am, they don't. So no, you aren't a prep. You are Hillary C. (unless that's not your real name.)

Um, yeah, I geuss I would call you a little preppy, but stop wearing those polos!Wear some nice, comfy T with a light zip up sweater and bermuda shorts with slightly big earings and some naturalmakeup. Just be relaxed, and don;t be too silly or into your looks or anything. And don't wear to much pink or lace or light blueor beads.
GoodLuck!

If you don't like it, change your clothing style - different stores, more variety in tops - blouses, fitted [ women's ] Ts, tanks, button shirts for school, and somecamis, halters, and strapless for after school.
If you don't care, ignore them. Some people are comforted by giving other people labels - they want the whole world sorted out - it just doesn't work that way. I graduated high school in '74, and they did it then too.

you use the word ''like'' alot
i do too a little, its justt a habit im trying to lose.

and i did cheerleading for about four years.
and i shop at ae, hollister, abercombie & fitch and such.

im guessing im somwhat of a prep but not fully and idkk i would have to know you to actually know if you are or not.

just be happy with yourself, theres no need to label yourself or have people labling you.

be happy for being who you are.

When I was in school all cheerleaders were considered preppy which isn't a bad thing itself unless you have a snotty attitude to go with it. Then being called preppy can be offensive.
