They have become so entwined with fact it is hard to figure out which is which. It also depends on the myth if myth about founder of nation because it has not been challenged. George Washington is known as a myth not a man. There is also the myth of Just War and promoting Democracy. The myth of the good guys rescuing people from bad guys, The Wild Wild West, more can be added to that one it can be completely changed it has also been questioned. The myth of invinciability of any nation which has been kept alive as it is not allowed to question it or the myth that dominance is benign that without much of the world being dominated the world would be helpless. No matter how many times proven wrong it crops up again. The myth any nation needs to dominate another by use of force. The myth that people need to sell their resources to the degree they do. The myth that using resources to the extent made use of in any country is necessary. The myth that one set of soldiers are more likely to be rapists than another. this one has not been questioned example Middle Eastern soldiers are portrayed sometimes as willing to do this to humiliate The West though in fiction . Also it is believed that male soldiers from The Middle East do not respect women as much as western male soldiers because of differing beliefs. There is another idea that if an enemy especially if a Middle Eastern soldier captures female personnel that they will be more likely to be raped and if the ones who take them prisoner are fundamentalists this is even more likely when is possible it might not. No thought given to whether they are endangered by their own side in this way. Another similiar one involves terrorists same idea only bad men can threaten women not even bad women or bad people but bad men. Myths are kept around by not questioning them.

Many of the old Myths have more worth in moral and life lessons than any of the writings of the present majority religions. Even Aesop's Fables beats out such writings in practical, everyday morals.
