Consider the following:
As 9/11 Draws Near, a Debate Rises: How Much Tribute Is Enough?
Published: September 2, 2007
Again it comes, for the sixth time now — 2,191 days after that awful morning — falling for the first time on a Tuesday, the same day of the week.
Again there will be the public tributes, the tightly scripted memorial events, the reflex news coverage, the souvenir peddlers.
Is all of it necessary, at the same decibel level — still?
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/09/02/nyregion/02fatigue.html?_r=2&hp=&oref=slogin&pagewanted=all&oref=slogin
So let's see: the NYT is sick and tired of those darned 9/11 tributes! We all ought to shut up and just forget about it, I guess. But yet...the very same NYT seems to have an indefatigable zeal for tributes to the late Princess Diana.
The selfsame New York Times has published at least ten articles about the tragic Princess Diana in just the last few days:

I didn't even know the New York Times was still around.
I assumed they committed suicide a long time ago.
The San Francisco Chronicle is dying a slow painful death due to it's love of biased Socialist views.
Maybe the two of them will go down together in a blaze of anonymity and the days of their Socialist diatribe will come to an end.
A few years after they're gone the Liberals and Democrats can all get together and claim that those two news papers once existed millions and billions of years ago and became extinct along with the dinosaurs.
Hahahahaha!

If 9/11 had happened during Clinton's administration you can bet your next paycheck that the story would be totally different. Calling for flag waving, and all sorts of patriotic programs to be held.
But alas. It didn't. It happened during an administration that the liberal left media just can't let go of the fact that their pretty boy Gore lost fair and square.
So anything that may show a positive sense of respect for the victims of 9/11 is just old news to them. They would rather spit on the graves of the deceased because they died during GWB's presidency instead of Clinton's. Which is basically what they are doing here.

It's not enough that NY Times is to the fundies what the daily CIA briefing is to the president of the United States;those pestilential leftists also debase and degrade the country as a whole.

the New York Times employees hate Bush so much that they
willing put our national security at risk and directly cause the
deaths of many others who would not have died.
they are more interested in leaking vital infomration to promote their hatred that they willing put all of us in needless jepardy to do so.
Liberal columnist Mort Kondracke echoed the sentiment
s of many Americans: The New York Times leaked
information about a top secret banking operation,
which was aimed at stopping terrorist financing and
money transfers, because of their hatred for President George W. Bush."
"In the past, I believe the New York Times got too
close to the line separating honest journalism and
betrayal. Now I think they crossed that line," said
a former intelligence officer who now works as an
undercover detective for a large city police department."
the media leaked that bin ladin's cell phone was being
monitored, did the general population need to know this?
even if he suspected, he was still using it until the
media confirmed this by their leaks.
The "leak of the koran in the toilet, which was false,
yet caused riots and murders by muslims taking to the
streets because it made a good story.
yes, we have free speech but we all have to think of how
best to use it. Bash bush all you want, it is your right,
but when what you print causes the deaths of others, that is when you have innocent blood on your hands and your free speech isn't free.

No it is not. The smear campaign of the media by the right wing conservatives is the most anti-American thing going on now. I didn't serve in Viet Nam to have right wingers, which by the way I saw very few of over there, try and disgrace the American press. It seems like the communist and the right wing conservatives have a lot in common. Bring down the free media, then you can say and do whatever you want as long as it agrees with your policies. That's also what happened in Germany in the 30's.

The NYT is good for a few things. they can use it at the fish market to wrap fish in. They can use it to line bird cages, litter pans for cats.
That papers is a socialist paper.

What a bunch of clowns.... "it's freedom of speech... don't you know this"....
No one is saying you can't have freedom of speech. Because you disagree with their speech and because you call it what it is.... anti-American... doesn't take away their speech... unlike you libs we aren't looking to shut the NYT down because their regurgitated garbage offends Patriotic Americans, like you did with Imus. (does he get free speech?) We simply point out the obvious... look... it walks like a duck... acts like a duck... regurgitates like a duck ... MUST BE A DUCK!
The NYT and libs will never know or understand the meaning of "Never Forget". They are already back to being chummy with those terrorists after profusely apologizing for our recourse and continued action. They make me sick.

No, it's just reporting on the way a lot of people feel. We're still one week away from 9-11; there will be many more 9-11 articles during the next 7 days.
All this is sad but true:
"Few Americans give much thought anymore on Dec. 7 that Pearl Harbor was attacked in 1941 (the date to live in infamy). Similar subdued attention is paid to other scarring tragedies: the Kennedy assassination (Nov. 22, 1963), Kent State (May 4, 1970), the Oklahoma City bombing (April 19, 1995)."
