I like the cheap ones from the dollar store. They are not to bulky, they go in corners, etc... I have tried all dif kinds of expensive ones, and I love those.

I like the dreadlock kind. I have one of those wringing buckets and the kind of mop handle where you can change out the mop head when it gets old. If you use the right technique, you'll find that these kinds of mops clean better and do a bigger area faster than any other kind of mop. The only disadvantage is that they can shed, especially the first time you use them. To use the mop correctly, wring it out and then spin it 180 or 360 degrees as you swing the mop head out to the area to be mopped. This causes the strings to spread out. If you're picking up a spill, always draw the mop toward you. If you're just cleaning the floor, pull it toward you, lift the top of the mop head a bit and double it back over the top few inches of strings, and use that as a scrubbing surface. Repeat this maneuver (spinning and swinging out the mop head) every time you move to a different area.

I LOVE the LIBMAN WONDER MOP it's been around for over 50 yrs.. It's lightweight and it has fiber strips that can get in/out of corners.. The head comes off to be washed in the washing machine and it's not expensive.. It's generally available everywhere so there's no worries about them being discontinued... You can get the mop for about $10 and the refill heads for about $7-$10.... A head will last roughly 25 washings.. I work at an environment that's mopped 3xd a day and these are the only mops we use... good luck

Hands down, it will be the Star Fiber Microfiber Flat mop. www.starfiber.com or get a good package deal at www.swedeclean.com Trust me! I have 2 kids and 6 dogs with tile floors...I need a good mop and this one is by far the best. I have everyone that I know using it now. Additionally, you use no chemicals, only water, thus being safer for everyone and the environment. Mopping on a daily basis the mop pad will last you a couple of years!

I have a couple of extra heads w/ pads, if you have a handle. Email me and we can work out details on that if you are interested in trying it out (nsjrb@yahoo.com)

A mop for all kinds of floors wow I would say that a sponge head one that you don't have to touch to wring out would work best on most floor types, that is what I have it works on linoleum and tile. But I had one when I had pergo floors and it was flat and you could put a disposable cloth on it and mop and then throw away it had a bottle that attached to it to skirt washing liquid on the floor in front of you as you went ( you could control the liquid with a push of a button) It works well on floors that don't have ridges like tile but it won't work on tile very well at all. You can get both kinds at Wal-Mart or the grocery store.
Hope you find what works best for you.

Quickie Twist Mop. It's an old fashion string mop with a scrubber and your hands never touch the mop head or water. The head is removable and replaceable and can be thrown in the washing machine when it's dirty.

Lowes sells them and I believe I've seen them at Walmart. I have vinyl, ceramic, and laminate flooring in my house and it works great on all three.

A sponge mop with a cellulose sponge head. I don't like the butterfly kind but the regular kind. I found mine at Wal Mart.
It's good on wood floors and on tile.

I use the Lipton mop, it has a green handle, I get it from Wal-Mart. But the best thing is that the mop head is machine washable.

There are many different kind believe it or not! The best place for the most selection would be a janitorial store. I like the cotton industrial ones, You know, the kind you wring out,and you could use one for a Halloween wig. Those are the best all around kind in my opinion. Bye

Not sure about brands, but the heavier the better to clean with. I get mine at the Hardware store.
