I deleted the Soundmax on my pc, it's too late to do a system restore. This is a DELL computer, and I have Windows XP.
Please let me know if that is enough information. how i can get my sound back
where can i download the soundmax back to my computer?

Install then off the CD that came with it or go to dells website and get them.

Click on Select Model
Follow the steps in the right window.
You will get to a screen where the components are listed.
Click on Audio and select the appropriate one for your model.
