I can post how much you don't know about the genre of music. That sounds about accurate.
You are thinking about gangsta rap and hip-pop. That is the stuff today that is crap, and that's what is ****. You're generalizing the whole genre of music, because you don't know what it's about. Hip-hop before 2000 was not about cars, clothes, money, misogyny, and materialism: That's the hackneyed message of MAINSTREAM rap of today. Hip-hop is the culmination of what is done: Rap is the entertainment side that sometimes can be replicated in a moronic manner.
The underground hasn't reached that yet, and there's many exceptions to the mainstream rule. Every genre has it's flaws, but those are not based on the nature of the music: They're based on the people that make it. If you search 50 cent, you're likely to get pissed off. If you listen to Common? Unless it's just not your thing (Which would be the nature of the musical elements: Not the words and message), I don't know how you can hate the music he puts out.
Think before you make a conclusion.

I'm sure there's some music that you like that I would very much dislike. There are also some types of rap that I don't like. The point is, there are many different genres of music because people have broad and varied tastes/styles. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean that there aren't many other people in the world that do.

Actually it's obvious that you've only been exposed to one kind of rap which is more of the mainstream, gangsta hip hop culture, however you will see that in most of the "underground" that is a different story
Common, Lupe Fiasco, Talib Kweli can all attest to that

It was okay for a few years, but to regurgitate "rapper's delight" 370,000 times for 28 years is a little much. And regurgitating "whole lot of love" "blowing in the wind" "white rabbit" and/or "My generation" (i.e. making rock) 35-40 years later is even worse.

Well even though I love rap sometimes I get tired of the name calling like B!tches and ho3s... and for no reason either... I'm not innocent myself and I have said that as well but to refer to girls as if you have no respect for them is wrong.

Rap is just a form of expression. People hate country and rock.....If you hate it..change the station....or just don't buy it...
