There's a problem its say:6(-7)=-42 how does it get to -42?and why is it neg?and if its the same sign ts posi?

A positive number multiplyed by a negative number will equal a negative number.

So 6*-7=-42

6*7 = 42

42 + 6*(-7) = 6*7 + 6*(-7) = 6*(7 - 7) = 6*0 = 0

Subtract 42 from LHS and RHS:

6*(-7) = -42
