Agreed....but ya know i suppose Barbara has a way of picking idiots for the show...i was relieved when rosie left, but it looks like she was replaced w/ a different idiot....her remarks really pissed me off...I am from the south and i have never knew of or thought about dog fighting...its a gruesome life for those animals and its NOT a southern thing like whoopie would like to make people think!

It's not okay to latch on to the racial-remarks band wagon and prolong stereotypes even if the other person is in the wrong. You need to stop getting your information from television and experience the real world because I don't believe most black people are even like that. It's time to get out more. But just for a reality check, there are those black nationalists and white nationalists that say some ignorant and nasty things towards each other but not aimed at a specific person but to a whole race of people which is just wrong. You know how white racists call black people "n^ggers" or "monkeys" and black racists call white people "naked rats" or "white devil". Stuff like that doesn't make sense does it because it's irrational thinking! It's time to look at people for the content of their character and not by their skin color. Does it feel good when people tell you that you probably smell like a wet dog with a bad case of lice infested in your stringy hair? So don't assume all black people are the same either and vice versa (to those black people who read this).

Beating and lynching blacks in the South has been defended and excused. No one has ever been prosecuted for it. But the real issue is of an athlete making millions of dollars stooping to something like dog fighting for money. Yes, it's cruel and unusual, but also just plain stupid, no matter who does it.

actually beating blacks started in africa when the dominant tribe would kidnap from a weaker tribe and beat the captives into submission so they could be sold to the slave ship captains. as for what a white woman can say we better not say anything about blacks or we are labeled as racist. the real racists are the african americans who are constantly trying to belittle and blame the whites for any thing that goes wrong in their lives.

As a true blue Southerner I wholeheartedly agree. I dont know what part of the south she was talking about but it sure wasnt where I am from. Who the hell does she think she is anyway.
Vick was found guilty so she had just better get over it!!!!!!

we could spend every ounce of energy talking about this....but unfortunately, this is the world we live in.....
those who have the power makes the rules........
us little people, they could care less what we think....
Our parents taught us right from wrong.....thank god!!

No, beating blacks isn't a southern thing, but dogfighting is. Actually its a universal thing, people fight dogs everywhere, everyday! They just aren't millionaire sports superstars. I've heard of people in EVERY state killing dogs, fighting dogs, killing every type of domesticated animal imaginable, and getting probation, or nothing at all!
There was nothing wrong with her comments, they were her opinions, and if you cant accept them, you should go live in China, you Communist!
