ALL equations of lines passing through (0, 9) are either:

(i) y = mx + 9, or (ii) x = 0.

Thus, of the extremely limited set of possibilities you provided,

y = 2x + 9 and y = 5x + 9 satisfy one (the first) of those two conditions.

plug x=0 into each of them

y = 2x + 9 = 2*0 + 9 = 9 Good!

y = 9x + 5 = 9*0 + 5 = 5

y = 5x + 5 = 5*0 + 5 = 5

y = 5x + 9 = 5*0 + 9 = 9 Good!

Only the first and the last passes through (0,9)
