1) you are demanding too much time for him to concentrate on other things important to him or
2) that you are nagging him, and he would rather have you support and encourage him when he fails over telling him what to do and discouraging him

if a man thinks you are hindering him, that means he feels you are stopping him from doing something he really wants to do or from something he feels he should have accomplished already. i think you should talk to him and ask why he feels that way. if you really are the problem, step up your game and support him and really stay by his side.
