But i'm nt sure how to go about it... and what i have to do.. i'd also like to find a 1 bedroom flat or apartment there does anyone know any web sites of letting agents over there?

Well, the first step is to apply for a visa ... student, work, or permanent residency. Each has it's own requirements, will take 6 months to 5 years to get, and have assorted fees.

It's a bit early to start looking for an apt., except to get an idea of costs of living in L.A.

In LA you "Rent" an "Apartment"... You do not "Let" a "Flat".

Now you may google to your heart's content... There are thousands of people who rent apartments in LA. (30% of them appear to be pedicurists)

Why LA ? Crime is rampant, people are rude, traffic is unbelievable, housing is overpriced and the weather sucks.
