If he loses to Ohio State, kick him to the curb. It's unexcusable to lose to a 1AA team when you are ranked in the top 5. I don't care who calls it a fluke or saying AP state is good, theres no reasonable excuse for this guy to stay with his recent history of underachievement at a program that gets such good recruits they should be contenders every year.

why anything? how about giving AS some love instead of saying carr didn't DO enough. fact of the matter is AS dominated that game from start to finish and really michigan should never have even been that close. don't forget about that dropped td catch and a fumble that was clearly a fumble..but was given back to michigan.

carr should have been dealt with the first time he couldn't beat Ohio state.

Let the man retire with dignity. Hes a genuinely decent guy and has done a decent job for most of his career at Michigan. In case it matters, I'm a life long Michigan fan.

Oh gosh. Tar & feather him. Toilet paper his house. Make prank calls asking him if his refrigerator is running. Stick their tongues out at him.

Seriously? Let's see what the rest of this season brings. It was the first game of the season, and yes, Michigan was underprepared, but it's not as though App State was a junior high team either.

"We were not a well-prepared football team," Carr said. "That is my job, and I take full responsibility."

He didn't do his job. Fire him.

Oh, and to all OSU fans (of which I am one), please remember that in order for the Buckeyes to get respect, they have to be a part of a respectable conference. UM is one of the main teams that make the Big 10 strong. After last year's bowl game embarrassments, all of our teams need to prove to the nation that we're not "overrated". Besides, isn't an OSU-Michigan game best when both teams show up?

What has Lloyd Carr done lately? Loses to Ohio State almost every year. Loses his Bowl Game almost every year. I can't even remember when he won one, but I do remember them getting beat pretty handily by USC last year.

Since I like to see Michigan lose year after year, I say keep Carr forever!!!!!

I believe they will announce sometime at seasons end that he is retiring. Unless, he loses two more games before mid season, then he will be fired. We have to remember some of these Div 1A coaches sign multi year and multi $$$$$ contracts that may have poison pills in the contract that prevent a school from just firing him, especially after he's brought so much money and attention to the school.

He has until they lose to Ohio St. to get fired...he may want to resign now.

Managaement should say to him...

"Good job! Keep losing. Wisconsin deserves to win the Big 10 this year. The more we lose, the better chance they have. So keep losing."

They should sell him and his defensive coordinator to Mike Vick and have a pay per view match...one man, one dog per team. Obviously losers die and winners get electrocuted
