When you do a secret handshake with a friend do you have to watch your hand...?

When you give someone a handshake or other hand greeting (clap 'n bump, high-low-bump-sparks, homie shake...) do you look at your hand or do you look at the other person? Is it un-cool to be watching your hand? What do you think?

As time goes on, you need to look the person strait in the eye. Anything less then that, can get you beat down in the wrong circles. But the WHOLE thing is about respect. So eye contanct is a big thing.....
