About twice a year if the tablets are otherwise keeping it under control. You'll automatically have it checked when you go to renew your cycle of repeat prescriptions so pick another six months after. If you're not keen on this answer why not do soemthing less obvious and ask your GP? (lol).

I would check at leat 2 or 3 times a week if you have a monitor at home,just to keep up with how well the meds are working

If you are newly on antihypertensives, then every two weeks to a month, depending on the medication. Once stable and controlled on meds, every 6 months unless you have symptoms, or other health problems.

Buy yourself a blood pressure monitor from Argos, and do it every week, just to be on the safe side.

when taking your blood pressure tablets, it is best to check everyday to monitor it the trend. if it is too low, doctor usually advise not to take it or reduce intake. when it is on the border line or high end, you are advise to take it regularly,

to start with my mum saw the dr every couple of months. this then went to every 3 then every 6 months. the only time this changes is if the dr decides to change her medication.

tell u wat get ur own bp kit ,u can buy them 4 about 40 quid an do ur own every other day an keep a record.I had that an done that ,ive lost 4 stone an me bp has come right down .all the best

They usually put it on your repeat prescription when they think you should be seen again by the Doctor.
