Well, when i want to change by background, i right click anywhere on the screen and click on properties. A new window should come up and then you should click on Desktop. Choose your picture you want, then click OK. If that dosen't work, you may have a virus that needs technical help from a pro.

Right click on the desk top and select properties. When the GUI comes up click on the background tab (if it does not default.) Select from that list.

the water is gone? check to see if a coworker is playing a prank on you and took your theme card out of your monitor. without a themecard the solid color is all you will get.

one thing you can do is go to Google images and pick a picture to put on your desktop

Go to the actual image file, right-click it, and hit "Set as Background."

it might be deleted if you cant find it or in a diffirent directory. the background picture stays even if the picture is deleted.

wel if your computer is windows XP, if you have not paste it in your computer (from somewhere like ineternet), or if you just got it by 'set as backround' then you surely cannot get it back
