A lubricant like KY will make up for lack of the body's personal lubrication. Sex done properly, however, provides plenty of lubrication. The body is quite good at producing it's own lubrication. (If you know what you're doing.) That's the way it's designed to work.
When there's not enough natural lubrication, the system for making it is not properly stimulated enough. Give the body enough foreplay & there will be no problem.
If you are going to lose your virginity & lack of lubrication is a concern, consider that maybe you may have the wrong partner. Losing your virginity with someone who is not familiar with what they're doing is not always a good introduction to your adult sex life.
Would you learn to drive a car from someone who doesn't know how? Or someone who drives badly?
Would you learn to dance from someone who can't?
Find a partner with a healthy, nurturing, caring attitude who knows enough to properly introduce you to all the niceties of good sex.
A good lover should initiate you properly, taking care of your needs. A smart lover takes care of your orgasms first knowing that it makes it that much better! And they never, never skip on the foreplay!
Find someone who will gently, gracefully bring you into this sexual world. Someone who will introduce you to good sex & then, because they understand the responsibility of being someone's first, will stick around to explain the whole environment to you as they lead you through. And practice, practice, practice!!!
A proper lover is hard to find & well worth the effort!
(Good lovers are made, not born!)

In the original formula for QA jelly is a bit old and today not the best lubricant. The KY jelly people among others make a water-based and silicone-based lubricants that are extremely slippery and very long-lasting.
Keep in mind though lubricating it a lot and make it also going pretty quick !!! So lubrication and slowness is the key…. no doubt the first couple times are not and to be the most fun but it gets better.

I think the most important thing is that you love the person you are losing it to. If you do, than that should be the thing that helps most.
Also, yes KY Jelly can make it better, smoother. But you are probably going to be tight, so it will hurt. If you do love the person, natural lubrications should come.

KY can irritate tissue when applied to open wounds- and since you are a virgin, it may cause the open area from the ruptured hymen to sting some. My suggestion to you would be to relax, and let nature take its course. Make sure that you and your boyfriend/fiance are really ready for this before you do it- once you have been there, you can't go back to the handholding stage.

Yes, but it is far more important for the girl to be stimulated and ready to go, this may mean that foreplay is needed, don't just jump into it because it might hurt, but don't worry its amazing after the first time.

From the 6 or 7 times I assisted a virgin in this endeavor, I'd say yes, though Astroglide is better.

KY Jelly will help ease him in. It will still hurt, but it will slide in easier.

I would say unless you have a dryness problem or are naturally dry, you should have enough lubrication of your own.
Anyway if you don't then a lubricant should help.

If you are not married or on birth control please use both spermicide and a condom! Crazy things can happen and if you're not ready to be a mom but insist on having sex use multiple types of protection!!!
