They will have a good year, they should finish about 10th in the West, and have a chance for the playoffs, but not make it. Two years they will be in the playoffs, and in 4 they will have won a cup.

No, they have a long way to go.
Their goaltending is week with Norrena and Leclaire. They need to address that soon.
The defense is in need of experience. Sure Adam Foote has an Olympic Gold medal and a few Stanley Cup rings, but he's 36. He knows what it is like to play in the Winnipeg Arena, Le Colisee and Hartford Civic Centre. Klesla is only 25, but he needs to show his offensive side. A career high of 22 points from your all-star defenceman is pretty sad.
Offensively there are some decent players. Nash and Zherdev are all-stars in the making, but until they get along with one another.....they're lost. Vyborny and Modin are solid players who can chip in, but they aren't all-star calibre players. Peca shores up the penalty killing if his fragile body can stay healthy. Brule is an up and comer who has the tools to be star...but not yet.
Fedorov should be used as trade bait for a goaltender, or experienced defenceman.

Blue Jackets will never make the playoffs. They are a gongshow of a team and a bunch of has been benders, who aren't wanted on any team. Give it 5 years and they will fold and the franchise will move. I gurantee it, Blue Jackets will never make the playoffs, they can't even comprehend what the playoffs are.

I really don't think they have what it takes quite yet. I do however think they will do better this season compared to last.
With Nashville most likely on the decline from last season they may have a shot at 2nd in the Central Division. But it's all speculation at the moment. There is far too much competition in the west for them to get too far.
So they should be better, but not good enough.

im afraid not. they just do not have enough talent to make it to the playoffs this year. their best D-man is a mediocre 3rd pairing Hansey. Nash doesn't have anyone to set him up to score goals nor can he set anyone else up. their leading scorer is a 2nd line winger on most other teams. and their best goalies would fight it out for the number 2 spot on most nhl rosters.even scott hawson has said that he does not expect to make the playoffs this year. MacLean has screwed the team up too much. unfourtunatly this will NOT be columbus' year.

In five years or 4, yes.
They are too young. When Nash has a better player at his side and more experience the team will make.

Their goaltending leaves a lot to be desired

Tough to tell. If Rick Nash can stay healthy and they can get some dependable goaltending, they could have a chance.
