honestly i could care less about the words. i only like the sound. thats why rap SUCKS!

For me it really has to be a great combination of both. If the music doesn't move me then I could care less to hear it again but if I like the tunes and it turns out to have fuc*ed up lyrics then I drop it like yesterdays trash.

I usually pay attention to the lyrics the first few times I hear a song, then once I memorize it I LOVE to figure out the chords and things. You get a star because rap does suck. XD

both to an extent (because I don't really want to listen to something completely stupid) but the sound is a lot more important to me. If I like a song, it's usually because of the music. However, it I absolutely love it, then it has both.

So listen to an instrumental song and it makes you feel calm, right? Right. So now listen to a song with only lyrics and it sounds totally stupid.

Most of the time I just like the music not the lirics but every one in a while they have good lirics

Well, I happen to love Jimi Hendrix....and his lyrics are great...his guitar is even better!
They're both out of this world. :-)
I rarely listen to any music that isn't phenomenal with both.

depends.. if i'm in a good mood, i don't care what the song says, as long as it's got a catchy beat that'll keep me smiling, but if i'm sad i need words to relate to
