Alright, so new school year and blah blah blah. Whatever. I got my schedule and I'm not with ANY of my friends. I know they're going to leave me since I'm not with them at ALL. How should I approach my counselor to try and have them change my schedule? I know she wouldn't want to hear whining, so what should I say to convince her?

If I were a counselor and one of my students was worried about doing well this year because she usually did her homework with her friends but didn't have any classes with them this year. It would help if since you started doing homework with your friends you grades have improved.

That suggestion will not work if it is not true. They have ways of knowing.

well just tell her exactly how you feel about not having classes with friends. tell her that you believe your friends will leave you because of it. (although...maybe they're not true friends if they would just leave like that). Just talk to her about how you feel.
