We are travelling to Vegas from the UK this weekend. Do I need to bring mosquito repellant or anything like that?

It's normally dry in Vegas, so mosquitos aren't a problem. I've been there many times and have never come a cross any on the strip or downtown anyway.

Not sure about golf courses though.

ive been to vegas a few times and in fact just got back last friday from there. You DONT need mosquito repellant. Too dry a climate for them.

Bugs not a problem.

Sun, Heat and dry air is.

Sweat evaporates off you as fast as you make it so you do not feel like you are losing water. You are. Lots of water and losing it fast. Make sure you carry water with you all the time and keep sipping it.

A person who has not had a lot of sun exposure can get a sunburn in 10 minutes. Use a good SP30+ sunblock or wear sun block clothing. A hat is a good idea, as is sunglasses.

Keep in mind, outside it is often well over 100 degrees and inside the casinos it is 70 degrees. You will need to have a light weight sweater or jacket so you do not "freeze" inside.

Lastly, keep a tight grip on your purse or have your money in a pocket that zips. Crowds are perfect places for thieves to operate and there are a LOT of crowds on the strip.

One word describes the climate in Vegas. Dry. And hot. Oops two words. Mosquitoes are not a problem in Vegas. If you leave town and visit Hoover Dam, where there is water in Lake Mead, mosquitoes will be present in the calmer backwater coves and bays. Not in downtown Vegas, however.

No...no mosquito in Vegas. But you must bring sunblock, shades and shorts. It's very HOT.

there arent any mosquitoes or flies , or the like.
the city is clean and free from parasites.
just take a lot of cash , and the best intentions to have a good time.
i advise you to take a flight by a 9 passenger plane over ThE GRAND CANION . it 's wonderful . and you will fly over the last traces of Red INDIANS who lead a natural life in the middle of mountains , and have no idea about anything heppening in our world.
when you land in Arizona for a few hrs, you will see postcards of those natives .
you wil love it and remember my advise. the hotel can make the resevations .

*pssspt* Don't tell anybody this, but I just found out that if you catch one of those mosquitoes in Vegas and you use a
high-powered magnifying glass, that if you look closely, you'll see that their eyes are made up 3 red 7s because of all the major wins they're seen over the years, it's gotten into their, blood, their brains, and now quite literally their eyesight.

SHHHH!!! Keep this secret, OK?
