White smoke mean coolant leaking into the piston (broke head gasket). So ask around for a head gasket job. Depending on your engine design it can be very easy or very difficult job.

As for the gas leak, that's almost an emergency. Fix that NOW. And don't park the car near the house (yours or the neighbor's). I'm talking about car fire turning into house fire.

Good Luck.

White smoke from the exhaust indicates only one thing:
Engine coolant is leaking into the combustion chamber where it is turned to steam, and pushed out the exhaust.

Sounds like a separate problem, apart from the gas leak. If your Chrysler has 100 to 140 thousand miles, it's most likely a warped head, or an intake manifold gasket that's gone bad.
Either of those problems would allow coolant into a cylinder and create the white smoke from the tail pipe.

Both are costly repairs, but neither can be ignored without major engine damage occurring.
Figure $800 or more to repair.

A gas leak is very serious and dangerous have that checked right away, as for the white smoke it's probably a bad head gasket

White smoke might indicate a blown head gasket...you might be in for at least $500+ to fix that...Next time state the full model and when the problem started...
