I work in the restaurant business - which anyone who has ever worked in a restaurant can tell you that a lot of good - natured teasing goes on behind the scenes - it helps to ease the tension that this sorta work can cause.
So we have nicknames for everyone there!
Some that I myself created:
Sparkles - given to a pretty boy pizza maker with huge sparking blue eyes. I always told him he was so pretty he could have been a girl. He hated the nickname at first but now if I call him anything other than Sparkles he asks "what's wrong? are you mad at me?".
Sleeves - given to a delivery driver we had who was uber creepy. We gave him a uniform t-shirt to wear while he made deliveries - he cut the sleeves off of it. We told him he can't do that - it looks unprofessional - gave him another one and he did the SAME thing. Hence why I call him Sleeves.
Romano - given to a pizza maker named Cory - named for the character in the movie 'Corky Romano'. Our Romano is a super spastic little deaf kid. The name fits!

Those are just the ones that I created myself and have stuck.
We also have a Butters and a Timmy!. And our boss's nickname is "Bulldog" - although it's not very fitting as he's a really nice guy.

I am disabled now but when I used to work we had these group of people who hung out only by themselves and they soooo resembled the cast of "Gilligan's Island" that we gave them names. There was a lady who had breast implants and was having an affair with a politician who we called "Ginger", there was a lady who kept to herself, wore no makeup, payed no attention to style, had 12 cats, we called her "Mary Ann". Our boss ran around all the time with an unlit cigar in his mouth and a golf club running his mouth about playing at such and such place so we called him "Mr Howell" and of course his obnoxious wife when she came in was "Mrs Howell". Our supervisor was the "Skipper". He wanted to be in charge so badly but was always messing everything up and we all had to work together to fix it. We didn't have a professor. Sometimes in the break room when they would all sit together we would hum the tune of "Gilligan's Island" and they never even caught on. They were so funny. I miss them and love to go back and visit them!!! Work was like a small TV show. An old rerun!!!

We have "Frizz" - her hair is out to HERE

But that's it.

I used to make up limericks for people, and write it on the white board in back....for instance, our manager's name was Nancy. Her limerick:

There was a manager named Nancy
Who liked everything to be fancy
She'd hem and she'd haw
Til finally she saw
She shouldn't get ants in her pantsy.

Silly, but certain types of work need the stress relief.

What's your nickname? :-) bbjo

there's Toami.... because her dad put that on her birth certificate when he was drunk.

then...our boss is "the fearless leader"...she doesn't know about the nickname.... she's a drama queen and she doesn't work at all... she shows up when she wants, leaves when she wants....and she's not afraid of getting fired.

otherwise...no nicknames.
