Right now all the teams are 0-0. The only poll that counts after the BCS championship bowl is played. Actually, Michigan may fare very well this year. First, they have no high profile player that will get attention which puts them under no pressure to do anything expected by the media. The media doesn't know squat about the teams makeup and have no crystal ball to predict anything. An example, 2006 idiot Lee Corso of ESPN said nobody could beat Brady Quinn and Notre Dame that year. Michigan rolled into South Bend, killed the holy crap out out of that punk, and flopped no. 2 rankedND on its keezer, 47-21. By the war, Corso was the coach of Indiana who was taking smelling salts after Anthony Carter scored the winning touchdown on a 47 yard touchdown pass with no time remaining beating them, greatest play in Michigan history, AC was 3 time All American and many say he, not Desmond Howard or Braylon Edwards was greatest receiver in Michigan history and rated as in top 50 of greatest College Football players. 2006, Michigan had the best rushing defense in the nation, 4 top NFL draft picks from the defense, were 11-0 ranked no. 2 when they met Ohio State lost the games cause of horrible calls and a miserable playing surface cutting down Michigans speed. Michigan has a great defense this year, and a lot of young talent to gel with first 2 easy opponents, an overrated Big Ten conference including Ohio State who plays nobody good win they win, and Terrell Pryor is no guarantee he will be great. In fact, Michigan not getting him may be good for the Blue as the attention of Michigan will not be centered around him.

We've been saying it for two years now, and finally some people are listening -- DITCH THE DINOSAUR!!! Fire Lloyd Carr! He is the worst coach U of M has had in half a century. He's ploddingly slow, his play calls defy common sense, and he's built his offense around an archaic system that every NCAA team except ol' Blue has kicked to the curb. The only thing keeping him alive up to now was his staff, who made many good recruiting choices (some not so good, won't mention any names -- Chad Henne) and helped keep the Wolverines in the fight for the Big Ten, but Carr has a 2-6 record against Ohio State and that can't happen EVER. This year I'm rooting for Ohio State in the grudge match -- Carr has NO EXCUSE to lose against The Buckeyes this year, so if he does maybe they'll finally can his worthless @$$.

I agree with Michigan getting booted. I was a little surprised that Tennessee stayed in and Clemson remained out. I suppose they are already factoring in the tough SEC schedule or something idiotic like that. I could see the road game vs. home game argument, but it shows the lunacy of the polls in general. Put Clemson in and remove Tennessee and you have all undefeated teams in the top 25 for at least 1-week.

I'm not a Michigan fan, but I think them falling completely out of the top 25 is a little rediculous. I thought they'd drop to 15-20th. Every team has a bad game now and then. As Chris Berman says, that's why they play the game.

They might go undefeated the rest of the season (not likely, but you never know). Obviously, any BCS hopes are out the window, but they'll still likely make a bowl game (unless they let this loss fester).

What strikes me is that Michigan received any votes at all after the upset... I guess some coaches are just too nice (or too collegial) to still vote the Wolverines in the top 25.
