I'm shaking inside ... hhmmm! Better to be agreeable so I can get out of here alive. "Your compliments are so kind and of course I agree with you!" "We just have to find a way to get proof & we can spring you outta this place!"
Suddenly, the door creaks open. "Time to go Lady!" the harsh voiced guard grumbles. "Uhh, yes Sir," I reply, rather timidly.
"I ain't no man, Lady! Jest keeps my hair cut short to keep de vermin out!"
A few steps down the hall, the charge nurse is filling out charts. "How was the vist Maam?" "I guess, as good as can be expected, considering she just killed Mother 2 days ago.
If you'll excuse me, I'm in a hurry, have to be somewhere."
As the nurse pushes the button that allows my exit, I'm sad, and angry. I know she did it. Mother tried to warn me but I thought she was senile, old age creeping up on her.
