No, under Scottish law you're entitled to ask to be known by any name you choose, as long as it's not for criminal purposes. You should notify everyone who might need to know of your preferred name in writing - your bank, telephone service, utility provider, etc - but there's no formal procedure such as arranging a deed poll which needs to be gone through.

i think so, whenever i say something about deed poll people laugh, ask a friend about it and see if they laugh
