The .99c shrimp cocktail at the Golden Gate is quite possible the best deal in LV - I would say it's either a 8 or 10oz glass -

The Golden Gate began serving this one in 1959 for .49c there has only been one price increase(bummer) 15 years ago they went to todays price of .99c >Gone are the days of the .47c buffet & $2 NY Steak dinners :(

I have been eating this snack for over 20 years, they have never been served to me in a plastic cup nor are there 5 shrimp, these are much smaller and very tasty bay shrimp.

>OMG, if you want a lot of crackers with your shrimp cocktail bring and extra .05c - It's 3 packages for a nickel -

One is plenty, but if there are 3 or 4 of us we will sometimes get one shrimp cocktail each and one crab cocktail for the group.

Last time we ate the bargain shrimp cocktails down town we got 5 of the large shrimp. Many of the places are going to the small shrimp though for the 99 cent deals.

For 99 cents they are a great snack. They are serving good shrimp, because they want you to stay. The last time I had one a couple of years ago, I believe there were 5 larger ones, but as another poster stated they are going for smaller ones.

They are refreshing.....though

Bills Gamblin Hall has a midnight -6am meal deal. Something like steak and eggs or traditional breakfast for i think 5 bucks. I recall a little bar north of Ballys and east of Bill's that offers a big hotdog and a beer for 2.50. Lets just say, I once had to make that my dinner on the last night in town.

When I did it, it was a whole bunch of small ones. this is the first time I heard of anyone getting 5 large.

It also came in a plastic cup by the way. Kind of fun though.

I'm afraid that for 99 cents, my question would not be, how many, but how old are they!

Is that question rhetorical, such as how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop?

About 1,200 of them and they're all as big and those gigantic shrimp as on that "Long John Silver's" commercial that jumps out of the water in the middle of the ocean.
