If this is a serious question, try asking in computers or electronics. You need a tech geek, not a sociology geek. :-)

Now if we could just figure out how to do this to the computer-generated 800 number bill collectors, then we would be on to something! I'll pay when I am able. I wish these idiots would stop calling 3 times a day and changing their number every time I block the number they are calling from!

I try not to be mean to telemarketers. They have to earn a living, too. Get on the do not call list, instead.

usually telemarketers want a credit card # or they ask a question like are you enjoying your __newspaper?and your suppose to say,I don't cause I'm not a subscriber...so I just say yes I read it everyday! and they hang up.(lol). If they say they can put it on my credit card,I simply tell them I don't have ANY credit cards,,they hang right up!

Why don't you go to www.donotcall.gov and put you name and number on the no call list. Then if they call after you have told them to stop, you can make them pay you for your time.

I am not sure about how that works, but I do something a little low-tech. I put the phone by the toilet and flush it.
