The Albany (NY) County District Attorney's office is investigating Signature Pharmacy, an online pharmacy that distributes steroids and other drugs. During the investigation they uncovered the names of many current and former WWE wrestlers that made purchases of steroids and HGH (Human Growth Hormone) from the pharmacy. Among the names were Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit, along with Brian Adams, who recently died.

There were also the names of over a dozen wrestlers currently under WWE contract. Ken Anderson (Mr. Kennedy), Mike Bucci (Simon Dean), Anthony Carelli (Santino Marella), Adam Copeland (Edge), Ed Fatu (Umaga), Shoichi Funaki, Chavo Guerrero, Charlie Haas, Shane Helms (Gregory Helms), John Hennigan (Johnny Nitro/John Morrison), Robert Huffman (King Booker/Booker T), Darren Matthews (William Regal), Chris Mordetsky (Chris Masters) and Randy Orton are named on the list.

David Bautista (Batista) was on the list of wrestlers distributed by ESPN, but was not named by the other main sources of the story (Sports Illustrated and the New York Daily News). Bautista immediately claimed he had no connection with the pharmacy. Mike Bucci had been working behind the scenes and has been fired, so I don't believe his name is on the suspended wrestlers list. From what I've heard so far, of the remaining wrestlers listed above, eleven have been suspended. That number may have increased. The suspensions are for 30 days, and it is believed that in at least one case it is a second offense, which would make the suspension 60 days. Randy Orton is believed to have admitted purchasing from the pharmacy and may have already served a suspension for the offense, and if that's the case, another suspension for the same offense wouldn't happen. Shad Gaspard and Jayson (JTG) Paul (Cryme Tyme) and Nick Dinsmore (Eugene) have also been released, but their releases were not related to the Signature Pharmacy investigation.
