I will be 40 in January. My boyfriend and I would like to take a trip but we're not sure where to go. Hawaii is out, too expensive. We live in Kansas. Any ideas?

I would consider Florida. Personally, I prefer the west (gulf) coast of Florida to the Atlantic side because it seems warmer. In and around Naples is nice and has a little airport. You can get good deals on flights and hotels aren't unreasonably expensive. Stay away from Miami (too little English spoken) and Orlando (too many kids and not very pretty.)

Even Florida will be on the cool side in January. Try looking into Mexico or Aruba.
