As I'm sure you know, no birth control method is 100% safe.

With that being said, you are protected during your entire cycle regardless of pill color. The pill stops you from ovulating and if you have taken your pill correctly (on time every day), you should not ovulate at all during the cycle.

No, those pills are just sugar pills, and you dont even have to take them. They bring on a period. You are still safe.
