Did Ashley ask Vince is she could take a break from being on the WWE roster, which was granted, to then create her "suspension" on TV?
That's what I think happened.
I think the suspension was just a "kayfabe" to take a break.

She took time off to be on the new Survivor: China show. The producers of the Survivor show asked Vince for a wrestler to be on the show, and he selected Ashley.

Ashley is going to be on Survivor China this fall, and I am sure that is why she was suspended. It has happened before where superstars will take a break, but the storyline says something happened to them. Ex. Stacie on Dancing with the Stars. But then again she never came back. Lets hope the same thing doesn't happen with Ashley.

Of course it was a storyline. As soon as the rumors started to pop up that she was going to be on the new season of Survivor, I figured that it was just an angle for her to be away from the WWE while filming Survivor.
