for number 2 you have to find the gcf of 8 and 11, and that is 88. so you multiply 8 by 11 to get 88. then you multiply 11 by 8 to get 88. and 88 - 88 = 0. so x = 11 and y = 8. i really hope this helps you. and i hope you were looking for the variables value.

1. None of the ordered pairs satisfies the equation
2,3,4 Don,t understand what is wanted.
5. x/3+y/-9 = 1 is equation of line wiyh given intercepts.
Multiply by -9 getting : -3x +y = -9 or y= 3x-9 so slope = 3.
So slope line passing through (-5,6) must be -1/3
So its equation is y = -x/3 + b
6 = -(-5)/3+b so b = 6-5/3= 4 1/3 = 13/3
So equation is y= -x/3+13/3
In standard form this would be -x -3y +13 = 0
