Right now I'm 7 wks preggo and i don't see my ob until Sept. 24 which would make me around almost 11 wks. Most ob's don't see you until 8-12 wks preggo. Don't woory before you know it your appointment will be here.

A lot of Dr.'s don't want to see you until you are out of the first trimester. Which is after 12 weeks. Don't stress, I know you want to get checked out but at least this way you know they'll be able to find the little tyke on the U/S and you won't be guessing. If you think you would be high risk tell your doctor. High risk would be you are extremely overweight, you've miscarried before, or some other health related issue. If you just have to be seen earlier, find another doctor.

I am pregnant as well. Date of last AF was 7/29 . Sounds like we got preggo about the same time.
I saw my doctor on friday. but only because I am on perscriptions that will definately harm my baby if I dont stop them now. BUt my docotr scheduled my first prenatal visit on sept 20th. I would call them again and ask if that is the norm that he generally makes expectant mothers wait? Maybe he is just overwelmed with patients and he may suggest you see another OB.
Just out of curiosity, what pregnancy symptoms are you expieriencing? Cramps, morning sickness. headaches any of those or different ones? All I have is cramping and I feel bloated, and heatburn sometimes when I lay down at night.

You might want to look elsewhere if this office is too busy.
If you are insistant on seeing this doctor, then it would be ok to wait until October. Just start taking prenatal pills (once a day) and eat healthy. Most doctors wait until after 8 weeks anyways, so it should be ok.

I think you should see another doctor. Ask any friends or family members you feel comfortable sharing your news with for recommendations. I don't blame you for being anxious to see the doctor. I am 6 weeks along and have an appointment on the 18th, and I have so many questions, even though this is my 3rd baby, that I can hardly wait to see her. I couldn't imagine having to wait until 11 weeks!

Wow, that seems somewhat off to me. The date of my LMP replaced into January 10 and my EDD is October 17, purely 10 days after yours. while you're particularly worried i could get a 2nd opinion. Is there yet another medical expert contained in the prepare which you are going to see? and that i disagree for you to easily have faith their comments because of the fact they are medical doctors. medical doctors make blunders too. Going by your LMP, your due date must be around September seventh. If that is right and you have already tried to bypass into hard artwork you're already seen finished term by that date and the child must be waiting. i could particularly get yet another opinion.

They usually want to see at about 8 weeks to get all your bloodwork done and do an ultrasound to make sure the baby is in the uterus and there's a heartbeat. Maybe you should ask if you can see a nurse practioner, or just get a new doctor.

Nope, it's normal that you don't get in right away. I got in at 8 weeks, but it's different depending on offices and doctors. Good Luck! I am sure you can get in a bit sooner somewhere else..but either way you will still be pregnant. Good Luck!

As long as they call you in a prescription for some prenatal vitamins, it will be fine to wait that long. You need the prescription kind though, to get enough folic acid.

I think that's crazy, look around and maybe see a different doctor - if she can't see you now what happens in the future if you really need to get in?
