What to wear underneath?

I have a friend who wants to take me snorkling and we picked up shortie wetsuits. He thinks that we wear only the wet suit and nothing underneath he says that the seams on the bathing suit will cause chaffing. another friend says to wear a bathing suit underneath so the wetsuit comes off easier. Which is the best way to go?

I also consulted a couple of girl friends and they prefer nude under wetsuit. They state that they don't feel confined like they do when wearing a bathing suit.

He is going nude. He has the body to wear a speedo and look good. He doesn't do swim trunks.

We will be on a private boat and we will have clothes with us to change into and out of and we have seen each other naked. LOL

I've seen people do both. Go with what's comfortable for you.

Don't go nude! After you go snorkling and you get back on the boat, the wetsuit will get really itchy and you'll want to take it off. So unless you want to be walking around naked, you should definitely wear something underneath!

And your guy friend should at least wear a speedo underneath for the same reason.

lots of surfer guys go bare under their wetsuit for exactly the reason your friend suggests.

The many fewer number of lady surfers i've known did not. I suspect that their 'typical' swimsuit has a lot less excess material to slip around and gather in folds that might chafe in very tender spots.

I suggest you try it with a well fitted suit the first time. If you don't have problems, why change what's working??

I always wear a swimming suit under my wetsuit.

He just wants a chance to see you naked.
