Actually, lots of them are easier to spell. Out loud, though, Mississippi is the easiest.

Well I live in Ohio so I learned that fast and easy. Even though Mississippi is a long one it is pretty fun to spell.

I don't know that I can spell "Mississippi River" in 4 letters, but I will try. MSPI would certainly suffice for the first part, but as for including River I would have to at least add one more letter. so that's 5: MSPI. R. One other way would just to exclude all vowels altogether and spell it as MSP. R. but that is a bit less intuitive in my opinion. However, I can definitely spell "that". :-)
