No the sunrise seems to take ages (I work nights half the time, I've seen hundreds of them). From first signs the sky is lightening, it can take an hour or two before it's fully light.

the sun does not move, however it seems to move because the earth is spinning.
As the earth is spinning at a set speed (something like 1000miles/hour) then sunset and sunrise take the same time.

It must surely depend od two factors. How far north or south you are of the equator, and were you sober at the time
